Project Managment #35

I want to start by saying I like your Plugin.

I would like to make the following suggestion.

I'm looking for a distributed project management solution. when I searched Google I does not find what I'm looking for. I find answers to my search not to my problem.

what I mean by distributed is that I have several projects. Some for work. Some for around the house. Some for friends. Some for building contractors. None of the projects have anything in common except ME.

And in the life of the building contractor he also has different clients with different projects.

So I would like to have a kanban view with the status of all the projects, and when the contractor update the quote I want to see the changes.

So this is where your plugin comes into play.

I want the plugin to send and receive changes to the note via the discord channel. I also want to be able to set up different channels for the different projects.

when i made changes to the note it will post to the discord channel and the bot on the other side will process the new data and import that into the other persons obsidian.

The data can also be encrypted on the channel.

The reason I want to use discord as the syncing engine is I don't have to setup a server and give everybody access to the server. but also more importantly is in the life of the building contractor he does not have to set up a server and give all his clients access to his project server.

And if every body set up a Project server I have to log into multiple server to check the status of all the projects.

I hope this makes sense and is of interest to you.

thanks

Thanks for leaving the request. I'm always happy to consider features and enhancements that people find valuable.

This request is interesting. It's a bit of a stretch for the plugin's current state and features and almost feels like an entirely new plugin. But I also see the overlaps.

I'll be thinking about it for a while as I don't have much bandwidth for anything of this magnitude at the moment. But I'll leave this issue open and feel free to add to it or continue the conversation.

Sorry I don't wanted to overwhelm you. I thought you are almost halve way there. you can already send everything in a folder to Discord. you only have to add the read part.

I don't have any plans to pursue this right now but I'd like to leave it open as an incubator request. If more ideas or interest gain traction around it, I'll reconsider further exploration.
