Thanks for the test. CW mode has the same configuration as the existing FM mode. It simply prevents FM modulation by setting the FM Devaition register to 0. But I like your awesome test. I will also conduct various tests to see if it is transmitted via VHF Path.

1.
the CW mode sometimes transmits out-of-band. 2.
the harmonics in the 145 MHz band in CW mode are too large. Measured with my unit, the second harmonic was -50dBc in FM mode, but -6dBc in CW mode. This cannot be handled by a low-pass filter. There was no problem in the 435 MHz band, so it may simply be a problem with my unit.

Now, I experimented with various conditions that could cause problems with the filter. (using Version 0.2B) (Dual RX Mode, Cross Mode, Main TX Second RX Mode etc) All were normally measured above -50dB. Send me your personal email address and I will send you the photos. (This bulletin board has limited capacity, so an error occurs if you attach a photo.)
Again, whatever the issue, I really value and enjoy this feedback and testing. Whether this is a problem with your radio or a problem with the firmware, whenever there is an opinion like this, I can experiment one more time and the firmware will become more stable.
It would be more helpful if you let us know if any modifications have been made to the H/W and what ATT was set in the measuring device (whether the RF was within the measurement range). E-mail: @.*** Ian KD8CEC

Hi Ian
Thanks for your reply. I don't have a proper measuring instrument, so I used TinySA ULTRA for this project. ATT is 50dB Measurement range is 100MHz to 1.5GHz Each harmonic was then centered and checked over a 1MHz span. In the 435MHz band, both FM and CW had the same value, but only CW in the 145MHz band had severe harmonics. The fact that it was -50dB in Ian's experiment means that my individual may be the problem. I have ordered another unit and will check when it arrives.

Hi Ian
The previous photo was taken when transmitting in the high range. The -21.1 dBm was strange, so I took a power measurement and found that only 145 MHz CW was strange. Once it was over 5W, then it dropped to 3W, and then slowly dropped. FM is getting about 5W. It seems that my unit is broken after all.
The attached photos in this issue are in FM mode.

Measurement results in various environments have been sent to your email address. As I wrote in the email, I think these tests are important and welcome them. Even if your radio is the cause, I welcome this feedback.

Thanks for the pics. I will test it again when the new unit arrives.
By the way, please also confirm that you can transmit CW out of band. Even if F Lock is set to CE, I can send out a signal regardless. On the contrary, even at 50 MHz or 1200 MHz. Or is this also a problem with my individual unit?

Is it possible to transmit CW in a band that cannot transmit? Sorry for understanding late. If so, it's a firmware bug. Thank you for the great test. I will test it and make changes in the next version (0.2P - P~Z are stable versions). Thank you for participating in the development. Please continue to conduct various tests.
