0.5 HF does not start up with memory chip mod to 24M01 eprom and si4732 board.

I jumped the gun and did the memory chip 24M01 mod and the si4732 board mod. I found I can install and run the IJV x3 firmware and the radio will boot up. When I install the 0.5 HF or earlier HF firmware all I get is the boot screen with pixels. I do understand I might need to go back to the original 24C64 eprom on this radio this is more a feature request.

I faced the same problem. To solve this, try the following:

1. Installing default firmware
2. Reset all settings through the radio menu after loading the default firmware
3. Firmware download CEC_051.HF.packed.bin
