In today's meeting for Wave Interference we discussed https://github.com/phetsims/griddle/issues/31, and decided that the behavior of the wave detector in Bending Light can behave exactly the same as Wave Interference.

If the scale bar is optional, we can probably leave it off, since the learning goals for the tool are rather qualitative. However, if it's not optional, the 1 fs marker doesn't really hurt anything.
