The vertical edges of the visible spectrum should have a fade #115

Another Mike D. suggestion is that the red and purple vertical edges of the visible spectrum should have a fade. See the following example from the sim flash version: image

@chrisklus I think this is a "fairly" easy change, if it turns into something complex, let me know.
