ES6 Conversion #92

This sim should be converted to ES6 since it is actively being developed. At the creation of this issue, there aren't any ES6 features in use.

I'll use this issue to track the conversions.

Accidently, closed due to commit message containing the phrase "fixed" along with this issue's hyperlink. Reopening.

This repo has been updated by ES6 standards. There is no need to continue tracking these changes, so I'm going to close this one.

Also, note that many updates were made to the documentation, visibility annotations, type docs, and overall cleanups to the code structure. This will most likely cover other related issues related to the above changes.
