may I suggest to find a way to measure resistance with a ohmmeter? I know the resistance is chosen by the user so no point of calculating it on one resistance! But it would be great to measure equivalent resistance in a complex circuit too!

This is beyond the scope of the upcoming PhET-iO release, but we can consider it someday when this sim is revisited, deferring.

Reasons not to add an ohmmeter:

Goal is for students to calculate the equivalent resistance or determine/prove the equivalent resistance.
