adjust code and comments for 120 column width #41

The PhET coding standard says that comments and code should extend to 120 columns and no further. I'm seeing a lot of multi-line comments that are less then this and some code that is longer. I'll clean this up some as I go through it, then may assign @aadish to double check it.
