branch: performance-1 #88

I am working on an optimzation where mobile biomolecules have separate shape and position properties instead of having the shape also define the position. It's not quite working yet, and I need to move on to other things for a while, so I'm creating a branch where I'll continue to work on it until it's in good enough shape to merge into master. Hopefully.

Got this working well, and have now merged it into master. I'm going to leave it open for a couple of weeks to make sure that nothing comes up, then I'll delete the branch and close this issue.

Reopening. This branch was restored during an effort to recover some branches that were accidentally deleted. This one had been intentionally deleted, and now needs to be re-deleted. See https://github.com/phetsims/special-ops/issues/198.
