I moved the readout and resized the font, but the behavior was problematic since the background color flashed a lot, which I felt was distracting. We then tried just a white background with black text, which wasn't bad but didn't look great when this was not over the map (such as when measuring temperatures on the right side of the map). @amanda-phet suggested using the scheme we use in the comparison statement, where the stroke is the measured color and the background fill is a lighter version of that color. I thought this looked pretty good, and she did too. I just showed this to @kathy-phet and she is on board with it, so I think our work here is done. Closing.
This was decided upon at today's review meeting with @kathy-phet and @amanda-phet.
We should move the readout in the temperature scene that is associated with the absolute value indicator and says things like "10° above zero" from the number line to the right of the thermometer bulb.
