Particles composing the string disappear (unknown cause) #45

@phet-steele and I both encountered a very bizarre bug where the particles composing the string disappear after some time. The bug was encountered on 0.0.0-dev.4, and seems to only appear after some time with these settings: Amplitude 3cm Pulse Width 0.50s Dampening: 1/4-1/8 Tension: Medium Loose End Pulse

I encountered the bug on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.9, and @phet-steele was using Lenovo z585 Windows 8. The two of us were both using the latest Chrome browser. It seems that for both cases when the bug was encountered; the sim was left unattended with those settings, and after returning a few minutes the were particles missing. Low priority, since it should be able to just hit "restart" or "reset all". Haven't reproduced yet.

Unable to reproduce after testing on 4 different computers, closing for now (reopen if testing finds this again).

Occurred after pulse on default settings, leaving open in a window. Reopening.

Freezes dev tools, but that's enough to go by.

The cause is fixed, closing.
