Wiki Requirements Gathering Document

Objective

Produce a document that clearly defines the information discovery problems we face at SoS. There are tons of documents: beginner track docs, how to find a mentor, how to get your project started, mission values, etc.

A huge aspect of this is taking inventory of what documents already exist (but are hard to find), and then another aspect of this is identifying what docs people really need.

Deliverable

The headings for the deliverable should be:

• Problem Statement (what problems do you think exist?)
• Current Solution (how are these problems solved today?) Part of this is taking inventory of the documents that currently exist (need to bug Phil to produce this list).
• Customer Personas (write a 3 or so personas for students and what goals each persona has, and what problems each persona may face. Likewise, might want to do this for mentors)
• Customer Quotes (select quotes that reveal the pain points, and what customers are doing today)
