Just throwing this out there, but given that the numbering of the parameters starting here starts at 1, might there be a reason to switch to 0 based numbering? If this suggestion is stupid then just close this issue, but I figured since the numbers get relevant when creating hashes there might be some corner cases where you would want the parameters to be numbered starting from 0.
