Feature request: Show key combinations of links before hitting f #2264

The current workflow is: Hit f, look at the key combination, hit key combination.

If there was an optional feature to always show the key combinations of links, you'd still have to use the same keys (f + other keys), but there wouldn't be a pause to (mentally) lookup what keys you have to hit. Seems like a small difference, but I think the cumulative difference would be considerable.

Example: Old: Let's say there's a link and its combination is AF. To find that out you first have to hit f. Then you look. Then you type the rest.

Proposed Option: You're already seeing the link so you already know you have to type AF and therefore "faf" in total. So you just type faf without any more thinking (however tiny it may be).

I only use filtered hints. With filtered hints you (mostly) know what you have to type before hitting f.

Adding a new feature like this -- particularly given it would involve a new option -- would have to meet quite a high threshold in terms of being useful to a large number of users. I'm not sure this is above threshold.

(@tobimensch. You've put in several feature requests. If you haven't done so already, then you should take a look here).
