This is a really awesome module! A couple simple changes and it works with python 3.

Lovely commit and I really appreciate it. I'll pull this after I get back from vacation and get a chance to test it!

Thanks @rpk512 - the patch worked flawlessly. I've added you to the contributors list and change list (as well as updated the package on pypi).
