Closed ape404 closed 1 year ago

Have installed the programm at a Raspi 3B. It works, my Sonosnetwork appears under airply. But after some minutes the speakers disappears and streamd sound shuts down. Some time later the speakes are on again and the whole thing starts again. What am I doing wrong? PS I coudn't ever find a logfile

philippe44 commented 2 years ago

Which version are you using? I mean where did you get it from? Branch 2.c or master?

ape404 commented 2 years ago

I dont fully understand. I followed the instruction from your readme.

pwt commented 2 years ago

As an aside, if you want a no-hassle method for running AirConnect on a Raspberry Pi, optimised for Sonos systems, then I maintain a curated, well-tested Docker image at: https://github.com/pwt/docker-airconnect-arm.

It requires you to have Docker on your Pi. I provide instructions for this.

philippe44 commented 2 years ago

I might have fixed the issue which was a long-time problem with a feature of routers named IGMP-snooping. Can you try it again (re-download what you need)

ape404 commented 2 years ago

Thanks for your help. I'll try it again or alternatively I will use the Docker methode.

Any update?

ape404 commented 1 year ago

Unfortunately i wasn’t very successful yet. I tried to renew the downloads as you suggested but the result was still the same: some minutes everything works fine then the Sonos speakers disappears. Some time later they are on again …Tried to install Docker. But it failed because my OS seems to be too old (Jessie ??!!). I tried to download a new OS, but although I tried everything the Pi wouldn't boot with the new system. There was only a screen pattern with small stripes appearing although the red and green lights seem to indicate a normal boot process. Thats where I am. Best regards AlbertVon meinem iPhone gesendetAm 10.10.2022 um 03:28 schrieb philippe44 @.***>: Any update?

Hi

I have seen your instructions, installed docker successfully but when I start the container with:

@.***:~ $ docker run -d \

--net=host \

--name=airconnect \

--restart=unless-stopped \

-e SUPPRESS_FLUSH=TRUE \

-e INCLUDE_AIRCAST=TRUE \

psychlist/docker-airconnect-arm

I have got the following resonse:

docker: Got permission denied while trying to connect to the Docker daemon socket at unix:///var/run/docker.sock: Post "http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/v1.24/containers/create?name=airconnect": dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: connect: permission denied.

See 'docker run –help'

I have also tried updating. It seems to process quite a lot of things but it then ended with:

Digest: sha256:fbde5d10112290dab4318ba0bac3d04c8b503eea1dbfad55cf23c0770a095125

Status: Downloaded newer image for psychlist/docker-airconnect-arm:latest

docker.io/psychlist/docker-airconnect-arm:latest

Error: No such container: airconnect

bash: psychlist/docker-airconnect-arm: No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks a lot for your help.

@ape404

I have seen your instructions, installed docker successfully but when I start the container with:

Please raise this question over at: https://github.com/pwt/docker-airconnect-arm.

However, it looks like your user is not in the docker group. Did you follow all the instructions at: https://github.com/pwt/docker-airconnect-arm#installing-docker, including starting a new shell?

Please try updated version

ape404 commented 1 year ago

Hi I currently run airconnect under docker, successfully. I therefore do not plan to return to the direct version. Thanks anyway for your support in this caseAlbert Peter Von meinem iPhone gesendetAm 29.10.2022 um 21:48 schrieb philippe44 @.***>: Please try updated version

I am having the same issue. When I first start the static binary, it finds my Sonos players just fine and I can stream music to them. However, after I stop the music, it seems to unsubscribe to them and then I have to quit and restart the binary. And then the process repeats. I am running the latest release on an intel Mac Mini.

I am seeing the same issue with the connection to my Samsung soundbar. The cycle repeats about every 4:20.

Should be solved with 1.1.6 and above
