Updated version of the CodePen. Now you choose the border radius. An input of 0 will make the borders sharp. An input of 50 will make the box "iphone icon-ish". Play around, place your votes.
I am thinking that I should mark this completed, as the CSS is all done for it and the only thing left to do is decide on the border radius. (Also, I may receive the SVGs from Nicky, nullifying all of the CSS I have done. >.>)
Moved into review.
Check out dat logo, biotchessss.
@colshacol I'm impressed with you being able to replicate that in CSS. I think you should hold onto that - it could be useful in the future. Sorry you went through all that work when I was just going to send a svg! :) Btw, I'm pretty sure svg's can change color based on what you assign them so once the style guide is in place and we find that black doesn't suit it, we should be able to assign the logo any other color too. fyi.
@nperezdesign That is my job, friend. I take static designs (be it a PDF, PSD, SVG, etc) and I make them living objects on a web page. And I do consider myself to be quite skillful. ;)
It was a learning experience for me, so I am not worried about having done unnecessary work. I will study SVG usage in web design in the following day and figure out what can and can't be done, but I do believe you are right.
Where are the SVGs hosted?
Found the SVGs in the repo.
Was that the correct place to host them? Let me know if you have any issue with them. They have a few export options.
Here is a demo to help you visualize the difference between round corners and sharp corners. http://codepen.io/colshacol/pen/PzRdZv
Please let me know which one you guys prefer!
