I don't have a problem with that! We may want one more dark color other than black. Maybe a dark gray or dark green?
We very well could expand to another color, but I was inspired by your original logo and the simplicity of black and white. I then chose to grab a light gray as a background for special components such as the todo list itself.
The green came along as we searched for a pop color and found that we really liked the subtle colors much more.
Alas! Tis a review stage and everything is subject to change. Design on, designer!
I'm just saying we should have more than three colors. It's good to have accent colors so things aren't flat. I like black, gray, and green! I like this site for creating quick color palettes: http://www.materialpalette.com/green/grey - that's a link to one I think we're basically going with. It allows you to export it with whichever file type you prefer: css, sass, svg, etc... Here is also a screen shot of the color palette it pulls up. If anything - just a placeholder until we get to tweaking things. Remember what that girl said - style guides are made to be broken when something that we didn't think of comes up!
Yet, you will find that material color pallets are very limited as to cater to that design pattern. Flat is not bad. Flat is a very very popular (and my personal favorite) style of design!
I really enjoy coolors.co for spinning up color pallets and flatinspire.com for inspiration. (Try it. You'll be a flat cultist like me. ;))
I like that flatinspire.com website. I'm cool with flat!
Black white, light gray, off-greenish.
