Hi,
for the moment, the webcam is not fully supported/tested on Mac.
The reason is that there is no easy way (as far as I know) to setup camera
(turn off autoexposure, exposure time, brightness...) to get decent results.
For UVC compatible cameras, this should be doable, but I didn't tried it yet
(and I have no idea if/how it is going to work with iSight).
As for your problem, the helper program that actually grabs and processes
frames might be stuck, effectively blocking the camera.
The other option (a bit worse) is that it is something particular to the iSight
cameras; as I don't own iSight (just UVC compatible camera), it would be a bit
of a problem to pin that problem.
What you can try is this:
when you notice the webcam not being sown as an option, shutdown the ltr_gui
and list running processes. Let me know, if you see there running process
called sg_cam or qt_cam; if there is one, try to kill it and when you are done
with it, try runing ltr_gui again.
Let me know what you find,
Michal

Just read the note on the project homepage - newest TrackIR5 is not yet
supported!
I'm waiting for the new one to arrive to be able to incorporate support for it
before I go to beta.
