Sponsorship options #428

Hi!

I'm looking at potentially moving my project to Phosphor Icons. I try to sponsor at least $20/month to most of the open-source projects I use at work, but the only options are Patreon & Buy Me a Coffee, neither of which I've seen used much for open-source projects normally, and using a separate platform like that makes things a little inconvenient for accounting etc (since all of these are work expenses).

Everything else I sponsor either uses GitHub Sponsors or Open Collective, and it's easier to manage if I don't spread that over too many platforms. Would you be open to setting up an account on one of those too? I've never tested it myself but it looks like GitHub actually supports directly integrating donations here into Patreon which might make that easier: https://docs.github.com/en/sponsors/receiving-sponsorships-through-github-sponsors/enabling-sponsorships-through-patreon.

As an aside, even if you don't want to do that, you might want to enable the GitHub sponsorship button (you can link it anywhere, doesn't have to be GitHub Sponsors) which would make it much more obvious to people how they can support the project

Thanks for the suggestion @pimterry! I've gone ahead and applied for the sponsors program, and have added our other third-party sponsorship options to most of our repos. The sponsor button should be present, although the option to give via GitHub Sponsors won't be available until we're approved. I'll keep this issue open until then.

Appreciate your interest in keeping us going :)
