PDF files were not meant to be further edited, it is a "final" format. So I think it is impossible to open your file in a better way than Photopea does.
What do you mean by "objects are lost"? I tried exporting a PDF and it looks the same to me.
I'm sorry, but I can't quite agree. PDF is usually thought of as the final format for printing, but Adobe Illustrator uses it as the full equivalent of a source file for editing. Just check "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" when saving.
If you open the attached PDF file in Illustrator, you will see the info and bg layers containing the object groups. But all this information is lost if I open the file in Vectorpea.
If I open the attached test.pdf file in Vectorpea and select File, Export as, PDF with parameters: Format: PDF Width: 1684 px Height: 1191 px Quality: 100%
I get a file that is corrupted and where most of the objects are missing - see attached: test-pdf.pdf test-pdf.jpg
When I open a PDF form your last comment, it looks differently than your screnshot :/ I am confused.
What I uploaded is a screenshot from MS Edge. https://www.sejda.com/pdf-editor will do the same.
Opera loads the image whole and fine.
Adobe Illustrator reports an error "An unknown shading type was encountered." and the image loads, but it's missing all the shadows.
I will look into it, to make sure Adobe Illustrator opens this PDF made by Photopea.
Thanks, that would be great. It would be great if Vectorpea could also display all the layers and groups that are in the original PDF file.
It would also be nice if Vectorpea would select the whole group on the first click, and only after doubleclicking would it allow selection of individual elements in the group, as Illustrator does.
If you rename your file to .AI instead of .PDF, Vectorpea will open it the way Illustrator does.
Interesting, thank you for the tip.
After importing the attached file, most of the groups are expanded, making the file difficult to work with.
After exporting to PDF, most of the objects are lost.
