Hello everyone.

I am very new to this software. PLEASE. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have installed phpbb 3.3.8 and I am trying to use the July 2021 USU SEO Plugin

Everything installs correctly but i am not sure if i am using the plugin correctly.

When i activate the plugin and copy my htaccess file to the root, my website works up to the home page. Once I click on a forum or a member name it says "this page cannot be found"

from here on i am stuck and I would appreciate some help. I have been working with this plugin for the last 3 days but cant seem how to use it correctly.

Thank you very much for your time. :)

Hello, you have to update the .htaccess with the .htaccess generated by this extension, go in admin -> phpb seo -> server config. Here you'll see the .htaccess you have to put instead of the .htaccess in the root of your forum

@zetrader thank you for the information as it helped me to use the seo-usu plugin. I absolutely love it. I was running phpBB via XAMPP on windows and I recently switched to Apache2 on Ubuntu and I think this has made a big difference in the way the plugin works. It seems to work a lot better when you use it through Apache 2 in Linux versus XAMPP on Windows. I've got two websites up and running using this plugin, so if you would like to check them out to see how it is working I would really appreciate your feedback.

P.S. I have one question... When I change the two parts in the plugin that allows you to change the custom footers. I don't see a change. Do I need to copy htaccess for that? or there any other files I have to change other than htaccess. Does config.runtime.php have to be moved or edited anywhere? Or do you know of any other way for me to custom edit the footers. I am using the MILK V2 Theme.

Thank you for your help brother !! :)
