Love this. While this project was started in response to COVID, we do want to take a broader view of public health and so expanding the scope of the vaccine policy makes sense.
Unfortunately I don't think there are any vendors that offer that kind of broad vaccine verification service yet, they all seem focused on COVID-19, which would present a significant barrier to any organizer trying to implement such a policy.
I wonder if perhaps the pragmatic approach here is to (1) update the Robust Policy criteria to include "up-to-date" on COVID boosters, and (2) introduce aspirational targets that we should be aiming for but aren't yet feasible 🤔
Many but not all locations in developed countries have online vaccine records that allow individuals to print out their full record. Eg https://myirmobile.com/. Is the problem that event organizers don't want to handle the full record, they just want a third party to assess the record and summarize it down to a pass/fail grade?
A robust policy should require that attendees are not merely vaccinated but current on their vaccination and boosters, for all common respiratory diseases with vaccines, which is to say at least COVID, flu, measles, and for those old enough to qualify for it, RSV.
