I currently use EmojiBox which provides emoji input from a right-click in any text-input field. Should SpecialCharacters use the same interaction method, i think we'd all benefit from it, as it minimizes the movements of the mouse when you're typing.

Very unlikely to deliver this requested feature.

This plugin supposed to be very simple satisfying my needs. Feel free to propose pull request.
