Hangs on the '1' screen of the countdown on recording, records also that screen for some seconds on Ubuntu 23.10

Somethings have come up for my Peek on Ubuntu, which have never happened before, it freezes for some seconds on the countdown of 1, before it starts recording. The recording works, but also shows the 1 screen for some seconds, so it too is recorded. Gif showing a recording where it records the '1' screen:

I have tried to reinstall but did not help. Any tips on what I can try? Will gladly provide more info if anyone requests it.

Same on Ubuntu 22.02. I'll try to take a look. For me it doesn't freeze before start recording. But it always show the '1' on the resulting gif

I can run it successfully with peek -b ffmpeg
