broken on wayland #1256

Just installed the newest version on manjaro gnome wayland and all my videos are black.

You claim it works on wayland. I just wasted hours of time recording blank black videos.

If it does not work on wayland, do not claim that it does! Period!

I met the same problem as well, but instead of keeping complaint I recommend explain your environment/package versions/your operations/your expectations to help mentainers out. Complaint just don't solve any problem.

By the way here is my environment:

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) x86_64
Host: Surface Laptop 4 124I:00055T:000M:0200000B:05U:00
Kernel: 6.6.6-surface-1
Uptime: 11 days, 14 hours, 7 mins
Resolution: 2256x1504
DE: Plasma 5.27.5
WM: kwin

Peek version:

$ peek -v

Nothing other printed during recording and saving.

The output file is just black, except it managed to capture the mouse move. If you want to see an example, here it is: Peek 2024-01-17 09-53

I can 2nd this issue, on plasma 5. If i relog into a x11 session it just works and it doesn't on wayland.
