ability to speed up/ slow down/optimize output gif - preview the result before saving it #399

What do I mean by optimize?

reduce frame count by removing x number of frames between every x number of frames (see screen2gif on windows for reference)
crop gif image to reduce size
be able to cut out parts of recording (trim from star/end)
increase or decrease playback speed - to make recording snappier

Of course when doing all of these things,one must also be able to preview the result prior to saving

display the gif as it will look when saved
show the number of frames that will be removed
show duration removed overall
show file size that will be stripped

these features would be really nice, particularly the ability to speed up and slow down the gif

the two key ones I need are

reduce frames (deletes every second or third or n frame, it also massively reduces the file size)
set speed (sets the gif's playback speed)

preview the result of adjusting the above before committing it to an output gif

both are available in https://www.screentogif.com/ , but that is annoyingly a windows only app

both reduce frames and speed affect the speed and smoothness of animation, so we need to be able to preview the playback, but it would also be nice to preview the output gif's file size

Peek is the fastest screen recorder to gif/mp4 formats out there with saving after record not before. Please don't break that because of some preview options

Being able to reduce the frames and increase the speed can also lead to smaller gifs that still play fast
