topology change induced by median scaling #57

In some case such as desert plants (which is a public list on the dev portal), the topology is changing when we send this tree to DateLife for scaling.

@LunaSare I think you figured this out. The problem is with the way the portal is invoking the median method. So, I am going to close this and open a portal ticket.
