"Create contours" gets stacked

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start (South America selected)
2.Process output at the beginning: ...SRTM fille in with 14042 entries.
Bad response code from server 404 - Not found.
Download error
3. Despite that Regions process continues until it stops at:
Contours 17S 69W: Downloading SRTM data - attempt no. 2 - south_america 69% 
completed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Usually, restart of porcessing helps to fix the issue. Another possible 
solution is to download all SRTM data separately and put them into SRTM 
directory.
