Under iOS settings, what is the current DNS server for the wifi?
I know that with YouTube testing for ads can be hit or miss, but if you open YT videos in Safari, do you get ads or do they appear to be blocked? Is this something that only happens with the App or does it happen across the whole system? (And if you'd like, getting us a copy of pihole -d
output log can help us make sure that The Pi-Hole is working correctly. Just PasteBin the output and follow the prompts for pihole -d
to complete the process and find the output logs.
For example, have you noticed after a day of having pi hole DNS you're not seeing anymore youtube ads? After changing an iPads DNS from default to the pi hole, I noticed an add still apeared. This is because (i think) youtube cached the ad locally. I tested this again and noticed ads would only play once after changing the DNS.

@aaxxo Bumping for response. Did this issue resolve after waiting some time?
Closing due to inactivity. Unable to replicate.
Expected Behaviour:
Youtube on iOS video ad block.
Actual Behaviour:
Ads are not blocked
Steps to reproduce this issue:
Open Youtube app on iOS, ads play.
Is this because of self hosted ads? Would even blocking them be possible. Apologies if this has been asked, I have tried searchig the repo..
