changing VPN and removing blockchain

Phreak1972 commented 2 years ago

I-m not on a VPN..... alreadz tried to remove blockchain.... but nothing new... Is there any official blog/support anywhere I can try to contact?

Darekdaret commented 10 months ago

i'm already solve it i think. first i uninstall both pi node and docker then i delete pi network folder and docker folder from app data. then i install the oldest version of 4.17.0 after that i install pi node and before login i recorrect the user_preference.json file by only adding ,{"containerFlavor":"stellar","portsCheckPassed":true} then i logged in to pi node and port listener are perfectly downloaded then the blockchain are running and i noticed that it's still stuck but in the background docker volume folder usage is increase after hours i shutdown my pc 5 hrs ago i started the node and for truth it's synced imdiately. then i update my docker in the setting and it's still works. THANKS!!

Darekdaret commented 9 months ago

I recommend you to don't install UpdateSystem4PiNode.exe after i install it the problem is come back again and i can't get to uninstall it

It displays still local block number : 1

But in the logs it says something like this: 2024-01-28T23:40:10.183 GACJS [Bucket INFO] Bucket-apply: 3670016 entries in 350.08MB/4.44GB in 0/21 files (7%)

So does it still catch up? Shall i wait or why is the number not going up?

Yes, it is catching up. You may have to wait for hours. It depends on your storage type like SSD or HDD

It's the user preferences.json file. I would suggest to leave your own IDs, hashes, additional peer, history url, etc as is since most likely those are user/node specific. Plus leave all of Caps and lower case as is.

I'd also change the portscheckpassed to true.

And the other thing you need to know is it doesn't reach you quickly to the latest block until it downloads 20 gb of blocks you can check it on the user preference folder ..... docker volume.....it's based on your internet speed .
