@Embrace-Serendipity I'm having the same issue you are having. I have enabled Pi Network App, Docker in my firewall allow connections and it still brings the same issue "We couldn't reach the required ports on your machine. Please double-check your configuration."
Thanks for confirming Chet1988. Always helpful to know you're not the only one!
Did you guys ever get this figured out? Mine was doing the same thing until I went into my modem/router and set up the port forwarding for this port range.
I'm having the same issue. @gpopulis does this just mean editing port forwarding on the router browser UI?
Anyone figure out a solution for this? Seems to be a common struggle. I've seen some recommendations to use pfctl
in the terminal but haven't had any luck myself, unfortunately.
@mitchelreed Sorry, I just saw this question. Yes, I went into the router browser UI and had to configure the specific requested ports. I was long enough ago now that I don't remember how they had to be configured.
@loganbeck Not sure of your setup but that could be the fix for you too.
Has this issue been resolved since? I also encountered the same problem has been distressed!
Hello. Please provide more details, e.g. which MAC OS version you are using. Which version of Docker Desktop was loaded to your MAC? Which container are visible in the docker desktop, after you start the node? Depending on you MAC OS version and the Docker Desktop Version you are using you need to figure out how you can open up a Port Connection for a Container running within the docker deamon within MAC OS. Thx.
I am having the same issue. I am using latest version of macOS 12.3.1 and latest version of Docker desktop 4.7.0. I have enabled port forwarding for specific ports on my router. Firewall is off on my Mac. I also tried enabling firewall and explicitely allowing Pi network app and docker app, still the same issue. Downloading ports listener and starting ports listener is successful, but pinging computer is failing. Anybody successfully set this up on Mac? Please help.
same here We couldn't reach the required ports on your machine. Please double-check your configuration. what can i do?
Same issue here. I will try to open those ports on my router UI. See you later.
Anybody found a solution that does not involve the router?
Still having the problem
The same problem. I see some containers in docker but they still no working.
Can anyone explain how to open the Ports on MacOS? Almost all the online instruction so far in the Pi Community is directed at Windows 10. To explain, I've already got to the point where you turn on the Firewall in Security and Privacy and then under Firewall Options set the Pi Network App to allow incoming connections. That would usually work according to most online guides: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh34041/mac .
However, I'm still getting the message "We couldn't reach the required ports on your machine. Please double-check your configuration." I've tried troubleshooting here: https://github.com/pi-node/instructions/wiki/(EN)-Opening-the-Ports-Issues. But there's nothing that directly addresses the issue. I'd really like to run a Pi Node and have done all the steps including installing Docker, but there seems to be a disconnect with Mac OS Firewalls. Can anybody help please?
