How to change may PI nod laptop to computer?

When my laptop hd crashed for the last time, I just installed everything fresh on another pc using the instructions in one of the other threads on here, went through the ports opening on firewall, changed router port forwarding ip to new pc, used my phone app to get a new code and all was mostly ok. There was a glitch with a user-preferences.json file. I believe it was missing: "portsCheckPassed":true,"containerFlavor":"stellar", after rebooting it all started working and has been ok since.
