How can we incorporate speciation events? See Shtilerman et al, 2015.

If the metacommunity is much larger than the community and the speciation rates are small this is not an important issue by now. Note that we are assuming this when make the metacommunity be a fixed logseries at the start of the simulations. By now I would only add a note in the vignette that the simulation is valid for ecological time and large metacommunities.
