Cannot Launch CFW (coldboot)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. first the PSP is off then I turn it on
2. I go to Fast Recovery
3. PSP freezes and restarts.. does not launch CFW

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want PRO CFW on my PSP

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PSP 3001

Please provide any additional information below.

I was originally on firmware 6.39.. it worked great for about a week and then 
it started doing this... I have tried reinstalling CFW but that does not work.. 
I have now upgraded to 6.60 and it still has the same problem..
HELP!!!!!

you said that it didnt work after the reinstall of the cfw and then you said 
that you upgraded to 6.60 . first of all my question is : before upgrading to 
6.60 did you unistalled the cfw?
usually this problem is because of corrupted flash0 files.did you installed in 
the past an other cfw ?

I did not uninstall the CFW the first time but I have everytime after that.
No there has never been any other CFW on this PSP

usually your psp might have corrupted flash0 files as i said before.i know this 
is taking a long time but....i have another question.did you do anything 
'dangerous' like editing stuff on the flash0 on your PSP?
If no then...i dont really know.do you use the specific procfw ex. 6.60 ofw 
with 6.60 pro. if you do then...Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ

Nope never edited flash0... dont even know how to do that lol
things I did that might be called "dangerous" is I used plugins... thats when 
it happened but I have had it since christmas so I really havent done much to 
it

processes ?

I added the plugins after I got it working the first time..
I removed them after it stopped working and I formatted the memory stick

I gues you also did not backup "vshorig.prx" which was created after the CFW 
instalation process when you formatted your MS?
What kind of plugins were you using during that week when your 6.39 CFW was 
working ok ?
I think you could also try runing PRO Update instead of Fast Recovery to boot 
into CFW.
Another option would be downgrading to 6.20 which has a permanent bootloader 
patch - but that could proove risky if the fast recovery is not functioning 
properly.(Also most of your savegame files made on 6.39 or 6.60 FW might not 
work without fixing them back to 6.20FW)
That is all I can think of for now.

no did not backup tht file.
I installed Game Categories right before it crashed the first time..
also when I do PRO Update it works about half of the time. the other half it 
crashes

I jus remembered... I tried LCFW ME I think..uninstalled it.. then went back to 
PRO 6.39 B-10... It worked untill I did a coldboot.. thts probably what happened

Well all i can think of about how to make your FW working properly would be 
ceompletely reinstalling the OFW and CFW.
1. Disable your plugins, restart your PSP, delete all your aditional plugins 
from the MS.
2. Uninstall CIPL flasher or Permanent bootloader patch by runing the proper 
installer and folowing the on screen instructions (if you did install one of 
those).
3. Uninstall PRO CFW (Using PRO Update for the uninstall process and folowing 
the on screen instructions). You should be back to OFW afterwards.
4. Backup any files you dont want to loose - try backuping "vshorig.prx" too 
tho if the uninstalation of PRO CFW went ok you shouldnt need it anymore).
5. Format your MS on your PSP while in OFW.
6. Downgrade your PSP firmware. Preferably to 6.20. The download links for OFW 
can be found in the Instalation section. You need to find the proper downgrader 
somewhere else i.e. on psp.dashhacks.com . Just make sure it's a proper 
downgrader for your current OFW.
7. Now you have a choice to make: If you dont mind having some "corupted" 
savegame files you need to fix - you can stay with 6.20, otherwise I suggest 
updating to 6.60 OFW using the Internet Updater on your PSP or downloading the 
6.60 update from the Instalation section. This process might be dull, but this 
should fix any issues regarding the OFW files on your PSP's internal flash.
8. After you downgrade to 6.20 or update to 6.60 get a clean download of the 
PRO CFW files for your FW of choice. (Remember NOT to mix 6.60 OFW with 6.20 PRO
 or 6.20 OFW with 6.60 PRO!)
9. Copy the PSP/GAME/PROUPDATE and PSP/GAME/FastRecovery to your MS.
10. Run PRO Update Follow the on screen instructions to Install PRO CFW. The 
PSP Should reboot itself to PRO CFW after the instalation.
11. Suspend your PSP, Check if the CFW is still active after unsuspending.
12. Shutdown your PSP, it should be back to OFW after you turn it on again. Try 
using Fast Recovery.
13. If you have chosen the 6.20 and the Fast Recovery is working properly you 
can install the Permanent Bootloader Patch. You wont have to use fast recovery 
then. Just make shure to run a test of the fake vsh (by following the on screen 
instalation instructions) before you install it permanently. If anything 
doesent work properly you shouldnt install the Permanent Bootloader patch 
because it might brick your PSP.

That is all I can think of for now. Hope this helps.

Im gonna stick with a HEN until the PSVita comes out in US..
Yall have any plans on making a CFW for the PSVita?

If you mean a CFW for the PSV itself then we would probably need to add a chip 
to the PSV, if you mean for the pspemu in thePSV, it could actually be possible.
