Hey all,

First off, thanks for supporting this add-on, giving feedback, and filing bugs. I originally built Smart Notes as a simple tool to streamline my own Anki experience, and it’s been thrilling to see users around the world finding it useful for their own studies.

🚧 A few notes about where I see Smart Notes going (treating this as a non-exhaustive, living document): 🚧

Major Features:

• Per deck smart fields, for users who reuse cards across multiple decks.
• Image generation.
• Images (or audio) as input to prompts.
• Mobile support (adding cards on the go).
• More ways to generate fields: ad-hoc prompts, generating only particular fields, etc.
• Saved and prepared prompts for common use cases (translation, example sentences, etc).
• Various Improvements to TTS:
  • Preprocessing before TTS.
  • TTS Providers for specific languages (i.e there's an amazing voice model for Japanese called voicevox that it should support).
  • Language models responding as speech without making an intermediate text field.
  • Customized TTS prompts.

General improvements along the way

• More TTS providers to bring this closer to parity with Hyper TTS.
• Improved documentation, tutorials.
• Batch processing tweaks for speed and stability.
• Various UX improvements.

Longer Term Explorations

• Chat about your notes within Anki.
• ???

@adriannedbailo Hi, unfortunately for now bringing your own API key isn't currently supported outside of a limited number of early users (if you were one of those users, please email support@smart-notes.xyz). Will let you know if the situation changes.
