Wayland seems to have trouble with Gtk/Veldrid

I can't get this working for GL or Vulkan under Wayland. I wonder if GTK4 might improve things, but I'm not sure if that's scheduled.

Fixed with posted PR, although Vulkan yields a black square in all my machines.
