I'm using morss against a couple of Atom feeds that provide an <updated> date but no <published> date. Examples:

<published>
The resulting morss feeds (VSC, Ftl) do not include either date, which with my RSS reader seems to drag up old posts to the top on each refresh because it sees them as posted just now.
