pieces desktop and its extension not working #460

Kindly describe the bug and include as much detail as possible on what you were doing so we can reproduce the bug.

the pieces os is working but the desktop app is saying it is not working and launch pieces os but when I click pieces od it take forever and still does not start, please fix this issue

Would you mind providing a screenshot or a video?

Either way, it would be extremely benefitial to talk w/ you in realtime so we can properly diagnose your issue.
