Hello Thanks a lot for developing QRAS, i find it terrific and has helped me a lot! I have used the plugin in QGIS 2, but recently i started working in QGIS 3 and realised that the plugin is not available for this version. Are you planning to launch an updated version for QGIS 3? Regards Juan

With the new version of HEC ras 5 you can develop the geometry directly inside the software. So there is no longer reason to Port the plugin in qgis 3

Hi Pierluigi,

Just wanted to check if there were defiantly no plans to upgrade the QGIS2RAS plugin for QGIS 3 as the process of creating geometries using HECRAS 5 proves to be very slow and laborious for larger models with larger DEM's (that need to be processed etc). These models were able to be built in seconds with QGIS2RAS. It would be fair to say that I am a big fan of QGIS2RAS.

Thanks in advance

Edward

Dear Edward,

I asked the RAS community but in general, there was a low interest of porting the QRAS in QGIS 3.x so I decided, for now, to abandon the plugin.

Maybe if QRAS still have chances to live I can decide to port the plugin in QGIS 3.x Regards

Pierluigi
