Difference between `pyiso4` and `iso4`

I am considering to involve ISO4 in one of my current projects. When doing research, I have found this package, but also adlpr/iso4.

Could you highlight the difference between pyiso4 and the iso4? I mean only the differences in ISO-4 implementation. Is your database more up-to-date? Does your package display better performance?

Hello,

Here is what I can say:

• My database is more up to date (2021 vs 2017), although this shouldn't make much of a difference in practice.
• The iso4 package relies on NLTK, which is a heavy dependency, while I rely on a custom, faster, lexer. It might however be that NLTK is more accurate.
• This package works for most of the journals* in my research field :)
• I have no idea about speed difference in practice, but this package was build to handle the abbreviate part efficiently.
• An interesting feature of iso4 that is not (yet?) implemented here (see #6) is that it is capable of correctly handling the language information.
