Here is what I can say:
iso4
package relies on NLTK, which is a heavy dependency, while I rely on a custom, faster, lexer. It might however be that NLTK is more accurate.iso4
that is not (yet?) implemented here (see #6) is that it is capable of correctly handling the language information.Hope this help!
*: some journals do not follow iso4, such as the WIREs series

I can only suggest to include part of it in docs/README.
I am considering to involve ISO4 in one of my current projects. When doing research, I have found this package, but also adlpr/iso4.
Could you highlight the difference between
pyiso4
and theiso4
? I mean only the differences in ISO-4 implementation. Is your database more up-to-date? Does your package display better performance?Anyways, thanks for your contribution. It looks very promising 👍🏻
