I still find it a tad frustrating having multiple source camera files for the same interview, either due to the camera operator performing extra 'takes', or my Panasonic GH4 splitting up longer shots into separate chunks at 4.7GB file size. This means, to get a single person's interview into AutoEdit3 as one transcript, I have to assemble the separate files on an edit timeline then render out a continuous clip at a considerably larger file size, to avoid multiple compression steps. I remember once asking you if this could be accommodated inside Autoedit because even if more professional cameras don't split the clips like my GH4, I'm sure that other people shoot multiple takes, resulting in multiple clips for the same interview. I know that the EDL would happily identify whatever source clip were needed, hopefully even if a single edit spanned two source clips.
