10 years ago Just for the fun of it, I can confirm this. Today, flying with the aircrane, the icon stayed back at the airport while the according text box moved along with my position.

10 years ago Hello ;) I can reproduce this bug almost every time when I'm zooming map by doubleclicking on it. GMapi v3 uses different zoom way on doubleclick than GMapi v2 used. Clicked spot was centered after zoom in GMapi v2 but in v3 isn't. I think this bug comes out when pilot positions are updated during the "zoom effect". Then some icons go to proper positions, and some do not. Maybe if that "zoom effect" could be switched off, it could be a solution for this bug. There is something what I alwas do (like workaround) to move pilot icons to proper positions. I just click on "direct link" icon to refresh map with current settings. Hope I helped.

9 years ago Problem still persist (Ubuntu 14.04, Firefox 33.0 or Opera 12.16) After while pilot icon appears on wrong position or vanishes at all. switching icon type (aircraft <-> dot) not helps. But pilot trail (if ON) is on right place and moving

9 years ago I have just installed Opera 12 to try. FGMap v2 seems to be having a lot of weird problems with panning and zooming. v3 seems to work better. Will investigate further.
Sometimes after using the map for a bit, pilot icons on the map appear at the wrong position.
