Hi, recently updated to version 0.6.3 & I also now get a half-second ticking
noise, which is not present on standard iTunes.

Do you get this ticking noise also when not in Integer mode ?
There is a known bug in Apple USB CoreAudio driver that sometimes zeroes some
samples every 16384 ones in Integer mode.

Hi. I tried "not in integer mode" and the ticking noise disappears
What exactly does this option change?

(Mac - ARCAM rDAC - Lehmann Rhinelander - Sennheiser580 )

There is a known issue with not very recent macs. The bug in CoreAudio/USB
makes samples to be zeroed every 16384 ones.

A possible workaround is to connect the DAC to a powered USB hub.
