new error unable to play live or archive #363

Closed TweekDash closed 6 years ago

TweekDash commented 6 years ago

Starting this week NFL week 5 on Thursday's game I was unable to access the live stream, I was also unable to access and of the archived date. I had been using the original kodi repo version with an updated pigskin.py to get redzone to work. I thought I would uninstall and reinstall the latest version from github and it would work, I did so but am receiving the same error and unable to play anything.

not sure if it's related but im having trouble accessing gamepass directly through the web too, keep getting detected errors in your broadband network (my connection is fine)

My pictures are cut off.... Gamepass had issues. It should work now.

pyrocumulus commented 6 years ago

Something is not right, gamepass isn't playing for me either.

http://paste.ubuntu.com/25721738/ (personal data is redacted btw)

When I select a game I get the bitrate selection, and whatever I select I just get a short busy indicator and then nothing. I tried switching to "Auto select highest bitrate" but that doesn't help either (the log is of that attempt), it just shows the busy indicator and then nothing.

I don't see any clear errors in the log file unfortunately :( Gamepass is playing fine thought their official website.

kaileu commented 6 years ago

There is no error.... Could you try inputstream setting? Maybe your ffmpeg has some problems. You could also try to wait a few minutes.

Tried InputStream adaptive, no change. New log @ http://paste.ubuntu.com/25722193/

I highly doubt it's something with my Kodi installation (on Android shield). I played a game monday evening, no problem at all. Haven't changed a single thing since. Now testing with Kodi on my computer, also not working at all. That's two separate devices with suddenly the same problem and I've been testing all night trying to get it to work.

I think it's a problem on the gamepass side? Or are you able to play games as usual at the moment?

kaileu commented 6 years ago

Because you have no inputstream installed it automatically switched back. I think its a ffmpeg problem that akamai is a bit slow with the response and ffmpeg getting problems. Its working on my side.

Ah that could be, because of my development pc. However I just did another test with InputStream installed and it's still the same problem. I see an error now, but it's rather unspecified (full log), in short it's saying:

Nope we can‘t influence ffmpeg. The other error means that it has a problem with the codec.

Well that's one giant pain in the behind then. I hope NFL GamePass changes whatever causes this crap, back to what it was earlier.

I did just find out that if I keep spamming and spamming the play-a-game, after a lot of tries it finally succeeds and actually streams something. Took me more than a full minute of spamming but it worked, though I'm unsure whether this will work another time. Until NFL GP fixes this, so much for usability I guess.

If this problem remains for weeks, I sincerely hope we can fix this in the add-on itself by implementing some auto retry or something.

sdstreams commented 6 years ago

After it running correctly the last week today I am having a similar issue again. Runs fine on the website also I am using the same method to play on website as in the addon but within the addon after I select the stream bitrate a pop up that goes away like it wanted to start then nothing.

Log: https://pastebin.com/raw/ZefJEsEf

Update: Change to InputStream Adaptive and now playing.

suikerchiller commented 6 years ago

Think I'm experiencing a similar issue. I see the loading circle whenever I try select to watch a game or show, but in the end nothing happens (no visuals / stuck in gamepass menu). I didn't experience this problem over the first 4 weeks. Couldn't test last week as I watched remote via laptop. For what it's worth: I'm running LibreELEC.

@kaileu are there any specific logs you need?

slh1984 commented 6 years ago

Having similar issues, was working fine last week, tho had noticed some options i.e. Football life, americas game, timeline options were missing. Now can't play anything games or NFL network only get loading circle and stuck on same menu.

TyrelCB commented 6 years ago

Same issue here, trying live streams, select bitrate, then nothing :(

sdstreams commented 6 years ago

Try enabling the InputStream Adaptive. That fixed my issue.

Weird it works on my fire tv with adaptive enabled but does not work on my nvidia shield in my bedroom with either input adaptive enabled or disabled. Guess it depends on the device as well?...

pyrocumulus commented 6 years ago

It appears to be working on my Nvidia Shield at the moment. But only after I switched to inputstream adaptive though. So the regular ffmpeg stream seems to be the issue.

Unfortunately adaptive doesn't seem to work on my development machine so this complicates working on this add-on for me. But I am still glad I can watch upcoming games on the couch nonetheless.

Still hope we can sort something out for the regular stream or that the streaming provider fixes whatever they broke on their end.

Works great on my dad's firestick. Works but terrible to operate on android app and kodi add on no NFL network live or any shows work at all. Why did they tamper with it from last year has been a disaster.

ghost48 commented 6 years ago

I have version 0.11.1 installed on Kodi on my FireTV Stick. Experiencing the same issue. No "Game Video" is played. Doesn't matter which week. "Condensed game" is played correctly.

I have tried it with "InputStream Adaptive" enabled and disabled. Without any luck.

Any chance to update to 0.11.2 on my FireTv Stick? I am afraid it will not work tonight when the are going to be live broadcasted.

TweekDash commented 6 years ago

after receiving the following e-mail this morning I woke up my nvidia shield, logged into game pass and tried to play something and it didn't work.

NFL GP e-mail

Since they said log out etc I decided to reboot the shield and tried again and it's working! I have InputStream Adaptive enabled.

PS I received this e-mail last week after opening a case, not sure everyone got the e-mail but maybe try opening a case still saying you had problems last week maybe you will get the credit too?

NFL GP Credit

I'll keep this issue open a little longer to see if we still run into any issues today but so far so good.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Great thanks. Unfortunately your code got flawed with a lot new lines etc and miss time to change that right now. Might look into it tonight.

Hello all, unfortunately I have the same problem. Up until week 5 everything went fine. Now I cannot playback at all with "inputstream adaptive" and sometimes I get the condensed game with "standard" playback and choosing of a bitrate. Here is my log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/25754102/

I have a RPi3 with Kodi 17.3 and Libreelec 8 running and use the Gamepass 0.11.2. from Kai.

kaileu commented 6 years ago

Your inputstream is not able to open the stream. Maybe region restriction or something like that. Not enough information to tell why.

Hi Kai, like I said, no problem up to now. Everything works fine, when watching on my mobile, PC or tablet. I live in Germany aND connect directly via Unitymedia (no VPN). What other information do you need.Gruß DennisAm 16.10.2017 19:24 schrieb kaileu notifications@github.com:Your inputstream is not able to open the stream. same error in Austria. It is not possible to watch live games and also not possible to watch a game video.- no error messages. Condensed game works fine.

i guess it depends on the Version of Inputstream. My Windows has 2.0.10 and that works with condensed, broadcast and Coaches.

https://github.com/peak3d/inputstream.adaptive

Ich hab es unter gentoo selbst kompiliert, drauf achten den Krypton branch zu nutzen. Version ist 2.0.18. läuft wunderbar mit Kodi 17.4

Terminator-95 commented 6 years ago

Thanks a lot for your analysis. That did the trick. I updated to Libreelec 8.1.2 which contains Inputstream 2.0.18 and now everthing plays perfect again. Saved my life. Otherwise my wife was going to kill me.

TweekDash commented 6 years ago

Ok, wow. For quite some time I did not really understand the InputStream Adaptive thing at all. Every time I would enable it under GamePass Settings I just assumed it was actually enabled. After reading several people say it flips off if not installed/enabled I figured out that happening to me (+saw it in my log)

I went to the github for it and read it came auto-installed with Kodi and Kodi repo, when I searched under the Add-Ons to install under Kodi repo I couldn't find it. I thought I needed to install it as if it was an add-on but that didn't do the trick either.

Finally.. by following the directions from the other thread #365 from @Ghoschdi I was able to get this to work.

From the Kodi home screen click Add-Ons > My Add-Ons Scroll down and select VideoPlayer Input Stream Select the InputStream Adaptive>click Enable

As @darul86 suggest if you need to install it try from the Krypton branch, I didn't need to as the version already installed worked fine.

This is now working on both nvidia shield and my amazon firetv gen1.

Thank you so much for everyone's help diagnosing and ultimately creating a work-around. I am going to close this issue next week hoping that by keeping it open it will provide the correct help and accurate information to people having the same issue.

evander997 commented 6 years ago

Also thanks a lot from my side. I also solved the problem by doing the steps TweekDash mentioned in his post.

Is there a way to update to Input Adaptive 2.0.18 on Android devices? I only see 2.0.10 installed within Kodi 17.4 but no way to update it to newest release. Tried the Krypton release from the github but keep getting error.

GP addon runs fine with the version coming with 17.4...

suikerchiller commented 6 years ago

Can confirm everything works if you delete the old GP addon, update LibreELEC to latest beta (8.1.2) and reinstall addon again. Applied the following steps (with ssh access to my RPiv3):

I think anyone using a ... will have issues on Sunday but will work rest of the week. Tried multiple ... with same hanging results when trying to play a game. Usually this gets sorted later into the Sunday games :(

ghost48 commented 6 years ago

Saints/Packers works now for me. Tried to start the game a couple times and it took forever to start once it started.
