Hi,

How do I set the white color for my led? Is it possible to add white in the color palette?

Thanks for this great addon

piitaya commented 2 years ago

You can set white color with color temp slider.

Sorry, there must be something I didn't understand... I have activated the temperature color change, but I can't find it on the final card. I just have the brightness change and the color change.

Ok, I just tested with another led bulb and I do have the temperature color and rgb color switch. So my problem is that my led strip connected with homekit integration does not expose the temperature color property. So, in the case where the entity exposes the rgb and does not expose the temperature color, it would be possible to add the white color ?

Hey guys,

I have a similar problem. I'm controlling my lights via KNX and a DALI Gateway. When I add a mushroom light card and select my RGBW light, I can only use color control and no color temperature. So I'm not able to select a whit color ever again with this method. Adding a button or white "space" in the color palette would be awesome! ;)

For now, I'm using a workaround: Long-press action sends a knx group-address to change back to white.

Thanks for your great work!

Best Felix

Same here with HomeMatic RGBW LED controller. It's possible to select white from HA color wheel for the entity, but it doesn't expose the color temperature control. The controller either uses white LEDs (if set to white) or RGB LEDs (if set to any other color).

+1 - I have some LEDs which don't seem to expose temperature control, so I can't return them back to white when using the mushroom light card, even when I enable 'temperature control' on the card options, nothing shows up. It would be great to have white added to the end of the colour slider so that it can be picked for LEDs like these.

Also +1 here.

Got the same issue. My bulb does not expose the colour temperature property and thus cannot see it when enabled. Please add white to the colour palette or implement an alternative solution? Since the bulbs are set to white, the colour on the slider doesn't show as white. I'm using v2.

Hi Paul (@piitaya), would it be an idea to add this as a feature. Adding an option "emulate color temp", also with some offset options. Which translates color_temp to color_xy values.

There is a HACS integration which adds lamps to a group and translates this already: https://github.com/Mr-Groch/HA-Emulated-Color-Temp-Light/blob/main/custom_components/emulated_color_temp/light.py

The problem with this integration is that I don't like to have duplicate light-entities and it does not seem to work with button cards in combination with mushroom cards.

I currently have this issue on IKEA Tradfri LED1624G9 bulbs, which don't expose color_temp either.

Well there is no way to get a white light with this card. I have to use another old style card to set it to white. Closest I can get is a light blue, but no place on that slider to get white. Here is what I have with the latest version (Mushroom version 2.5.2):

Can we get a white selection target at one end or in the middle of the slider?

I have the same problem, a way to go back to white would be nice
