Describe the solution you'd like

To make a true vertical slider button. these will be useful to provide a intuitive slider from bottom to top (not the usual left to right) that guests can use. It also will look really cool

Would love to see the "Vertical" option be actually vertical and look similar to this. Maybe call it Vertical Column. I've search high and low for anyone who has done something similar with CSS, but I think it requires actual card re-design. As mentioned in https://github.com/piitaya/lovelace-mushroom/issues/518 the slider is hard to use when control options are enabled. Unless you go with the current Vertical card which you then need horizontal space for preventing you from stacking multiple cards together. I also think it's more intuitive for the "guest" to be able to see all 3 icons for controls rather than replacing one of them, but maybe that's just me

I would love to see a light and cover card with a vertical slider design as proposed by @ITensEI. It looks sleek and would fit perfectly on Smart Displays like the Sonoff NS Panel Pro. All important controls are visible and intuitive.

Don't leave out cover cards from getting the vertical treatment. It's a little odd to lower the shade by dragging it to the right instead of down.

*sorry T1ppes, didn't see you added covers there
