I've just started using pyunicorn and it looks great - thanks! I just wondered if you had considered using a 'standard' data model like xarray or Iris (which I guess is more relevant for climate data).
It would help when combining pyunicorn with other tools for e.g. re-gridding/subsetting and stratifying data.
