We're using windows 64bit and tomcat.
Can you point me to a ffmpeg download which supports avi etc. ?

Hi Peter, what is the problem here? I see you mention what the expected
behaviour is, but what happens instead?

Hi Peter, I found your comment on the wiki page:

mp4 display works, but I cant get the avi and other formats to show; get
message: Preview not currently available. Do you have an url where we can
download ffmpeg with x264 for windows 64bit in order for the avi's to play?

Have you tried using the 32-bit FFmpeg builds?

Yes I just tried with:
http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/static/ffmpeg-git-335bbe4-win32-static.7z

Same effect; only .mp4 plays.

The avi, wmv, mov extensions do not play and display message: Preview not
currently available.

Ok, seems like the issue is more inside Alfresco than in FFmpeg, then. Can you
follow the steps in the Troubleshooting section and post your findings?
