[Redirects] Admin Only Redirects

Proposal

Allow admins to manage redirects without showing them to other users.

Motivation

Relaunching a website also means to keep an eye on existing and indexed URLs from a previous installation. Most of the time we're using a custom .htaccess redirect generator script or a rewritemap. Both of them are hard to manage for our SEO specialists. Also: The most important links can be removed after a specific time.

So, as we started with pimcore some years ago, we discussed that internally and someone asked "Hey, why don't just use the pimcore redirects feature?" Now, years later, we're still not using this feature for ranking / backlink redirects, because:

• clients accidentally changed important entries
• clients got lost in confusion: too many entries (sometimes 2 or 3k) of redirects which are not "relevant" for them - they just want to add their new entries without loosing control

That's why we came up with this idea: Just add an "admin" flag.

• Allow adding important redirects (from google index for example) with an expiration date
• Allow managing redirects by SEO staff without manipulating .htaccess files

Implementation

• add only_admin flag. Checked means, the entry is only visible to admins
• duplicate entry: Check against uniqueness of source - clients can't see the admin entries, so they may run into a duplicate entry.
